4,000 youth decamp to APC in Ilorin East

About 4,142 youths from Ilorin East/South constituency in Kwara state have joined the All Progressive Congress(APC)from Democratic Progress Party(DPP). While addressing Journalists at the Ilofa Campiagn Hall of the late Dr Olusola Saraki family in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, at the weekend hosted Dr Bukola Saraki, former state Assembly candidate for Ilorin South/ East constituency under the platform of Democratic People’s Party(DPP) in 2011 general elections , Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki, said they have decided to join the APC based on the quality leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki. He said his supporters who intended to come with him into the APC are spread across the 12 wards in Ilorin East and 11 wards in Ilorin South area of the state. Seriki said all of them have decided to move together with a view to ensure better development of the state.

“With the new trend of style of leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki in which younger generation are given opportunity to serve in various capacity, he has endeared himself to all the youths in the state.

“This new development has never happened in the state in the past. As a young man who has experience in solid mineral business with interest in human empowerment, I want to share the same style with the leader.”

He added he had empowered about 2,000 people while about 800 have been employed in his solid minerals firm.

The former DPP House of Representative candidate in 2011 said he has introduced a new programme which will empower more people in the state.

He urged Kwara youth to support the development agenda of Dr Bukola Saraki for better development and prosperity in the state.
