From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

Barely one week after the endorsement of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello by the Niger North All Progressives Congress (APC) officials and delegates, the Restoration Continuity Ambassadors (RESTCONTIA) has also thrown its weight behind the second term bid of the Governor.
The All Progressive Congress support group led by its Chief Ambassador, Hon. Hussaini Ibn Abdullahi, in a media briefing in his office in Minna, noted that they are confident about the achievements of the present administration in Niger state.
Abdullahi who highlighted the group’s aims and objectives to include publicizing the recorded achievements of the Governor, advised party leadership on the need to select credible flag bearers for elections.
He added that the group will also serve as a mediator in identifying conflicts within the party supporters and resolve them accordingly, as well as to strategize for 2019 elections for the success of the incumbent Governor, hence the need to attract new members to the APC.
He pointed out that the programmes outlined by the group included: achievements of the Governor, sensitization tour of some local governments like Lapai, Paiko, Chanchaga and Kontagora councils.
He further said that spotlight on virile APC members, monitoring of government projects, grassroots publicity of achievements and advice to local councils on identified gray areas, as well as public jingles on peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians are part of its objectives.
