Super Eagles and Sivasspor’ defender, Elderson Echiejile, has expressed his excitement over the team’s amazing comeback win against the La Albiceleste of Argentina in their Tuesday’s international friendly match in the city of Krasnodar, Russia.
The Super Eagles had gone down with two goals from Ever Banega and Manchester City’s Sergio Kun Aguero before Leicester city forward, Kelechi Iheanacho reduced the deficit on the stroke of halftime.
The former Braga defender, Echiejile, who sat out of the glamour game due to injury expressed his excitement in an interview with brila.net
“That was a fantastic perfirmance, I must say. The players played well with full team spirit and it is the most important thing at this time as we approach the World Cup finals,” Echiejile said.
The experienced defender expressed his sadness for not being available for the game.
However, the on-loan Monaco man informed noted that he is set to return for Sivasspor in the weekend fixture of the Turkish Super Lig.
