10,000 Adamawa farmers benefit from CBN agric scheme

Over 10,000 farmers are to participate in the Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme, AADS organized by the Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN in Adamawa state.
Commissioner of Agriculture,Honourable Ahmadu Waziri disclosed the development in Yola yesterday during a town hall meeting organized for representatives of farmers groups in the state on the programmer
Waziri said the programme which is a special one under Anchor Borrowers’ Programme was meant for unemployed youths within the age of 18 to 35 years who are not currently participating in similar government empowerment programmes.
He said Adamawa entered maize and livestock as its choice areas under the programme and participation in the programme is open to all categories of youth including educated and non educated willing to embrace agriculture.
