Yobe partners RCC to train govt agencies on service delivery

In a concerted effort to remind and keep top government functionaries abreast with management tools for effective and efficient service delivery in the state, Yobe state government, through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, in conjunction with Royale Criterion Consult, has organized a one-day retreat for government agencies.
Participants at the retreat, which took place at the WAWA Hall at the state Government House, included members of the State Executive Council, special advisers, permanent secretaries, general managers and chief executives of boards and parastatals
Speaking before declaring open the workshop, the state governor, Alh. Ibrahim Gaidam commended the effort of the organizers, pointing out that the retreat came at the right time considering the challenges faced by the state during the height of Boko Haram insurgency in the state coupled with the economic recession which greatly affected service delivery in the state.
He also said the retreat came at a time when there are calls and concerns for the entrenchment of international best practices in governance as the basis for global partnership for development Earlier, in his welcome address, the chief host, who is the SSG, Alh. Baba Mallam Wali, while commending the effort of the state governor,Alh. Ibrahim Gaidam, urged the participants to pay rapt attention to the paper presentations by well-choosing experts and make meaningful contributions to achieve the desired objective of the retreat.
