Yuletide travels: Passengers comfort, security, remains top priority across airports, FAAN assures

As the anticipated surge in air passengers traffic gathers momentum across airports in Nigeria, the management authority has reiterated it commitment to seamless coordination of activities that ensure security of lives and hassle free movement of person within and around airport environment.
Specifically, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said security at entry points airports in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano has been beefed up to ensure passengers and airport users make use of facilities without any security threat.
FAAN image maker, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu also assured travellers of adequate preparations to meet the demands of the usual surge in passenger traffic that is the norm during the season.
Herientta said “ at the premier airport, the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, a multi-storey car park was recently commissioned to ease ground facilitation, the VIP lounge has also been renovated to enhance passenger comfort, the carousels are working optimally, amidst other facilities upgrade currently on going.
“The stories are similar at all other airports, as the Authority has put in place facilities, procedures and systems to ensure maximum comfort, safety and security of airport users during this season and beyond.
“FAAN will like to use this opportunity to appeal to passengers to please get to the airports early to conclude all check-in procedures in good time, so as to avoid the experience of missing their flights. This is important because of the heavy passenger traffic that is usually the experience around this time and the ongoing construction work by the Lagos State Government on airport road, Lagos.
“FAAN will continue to deliver on its core values of Safety, Security and Comfort”, she said.
