The Nigeria Union of Journalists kaduna State Council has described the Chairman and Founder of Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, Pastor Yohanna Buru as an icon in promoting peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities in the state.
The Chairman of the Council Comrade Adamu Yusuf made the assertion during the new year get together organized for Kaduna journalists by the cleric .
Yusuf added that the cleric deserves national award for promoting peace among diverse, ethnic and religious groups in the state.
Yusuf commended Buru’s gesture, saying that no meaningful development could be achieved in a society that is rampaged with rancour and disunity among the diverse ethnic groups.
“Buru deserves an award not only within the state but at the Federal Level so as to gear him up to do more in the promotion of peace especially among the youth who constituted the large portion of the Nigeria’s population.
“These are the kind of people we want in our society. People that promote peace among people irrespective of their religion, ethnicity and tribe,” Adamu said.
