The governor of Bauchi State, Barrister Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar, has donated the sum of one million Naira to the Plateau State Qur’anic Recitation Competition Committee.
Abubakar disclosed the donation during the closing ceremony of the 31st Annuwal Qur’anic Recitation Competition Committee held at the Jos Central Mosque, yesterday in Jos.
The gov who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bauchi State, Muhammad Ibrahim Auwal, said “
the message of the Bauchi State Government is to congratulate all the participants at the competition and to give one million naira donation to help the Committee perform its Affairs successful.”
Auwal further called on Muslims across the country to at all time engage in Qur’anic recitation and follow its injunction, saying that would go a long way in reducing difficulty in the country.
He added that in Bauchi State, govt had been sensitizing youth on the need to desist from any kind of social devices so as to free the state from violent activities and to ensure hitch free environment.
