Adamawa Govt partners EU to construct dam in Mubi

The Adamawa state Government has partnered with the European Union (EU) to construct a Mini Dam in Gella town of Mubi South Local Government in the state.
Law maker representing the council (Mubi South) in the state Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahman Abubakar disclosed the development during an interview with journalists in Yola, Thursday.
He noted that the construction of the proposed Dam will tackle the acute shortage of water in the area.
Abubakar advanced that; the EU would drill motorised boreholes in some identified locations while the state government will be constructing the Mini Dams.
Abubakar declared that officials of the state Ministry of Water Resources had already visited the area for their field survey and technical observations for the proposed projects.
On constituency projects, the lawmaker said he was utilizing his N20 million constituency money for empowerment projects.
Abubakar explained that out of the money he paid NECO for 170 students, while 3000 people will get N10, 000 each to start or boost their petty businesses.
