Kebbi APC formerly received former Gov, Dakingari others from PDP

The Kebbi State All Progressives Congress (APC) had formally received over 267,000 defectors from PDP at a ceremony which took place yesterday at the Haliru Audu Stadium Birnin Kebbi.
Receiving the defectors, among them former governor of the state, Alhaji Usman Nasamu Dakingar, the state APC chairman, Barrister Attahiru Maccido said that their defection was as a result of the good project did by the APC government.
Other defectors include three former chairmen of PDP in the state, ex lawmakers, commissioners, former local government chairmen and top government officials during the Dakingari administration in the State.
Dakingari who directed the affairs of Kebbi State for eight years under the umbrella of the PDP was ushered into the APC at the ceremony organized for him and other former top PDP members at the Township Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
Barrister Attahiru Maccido said the former PDP members decision to decamp to the APC was informed by the good governance of President Muhammad Buhari and that of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in Kebbi State.
He said the decampees would be treated equally with the old members of APC. He however enjoined them to endeavour to follow the party constitution and be guided by the laws of APC.
He said “Their coming into the APC is a turning point for APC in Kebbi State.”
In his speech, Dakingari said his move into the APC was to help the APC to move Kebbi and the nation forward. “We did not decamp to APC for any condition but for the fair play that exist in the party”
