Niger LPN assures of security, better economy

The new Chairman of the Niger State chapter of Legacy Party of Nigeria (LPN), Hon. Abdullahi Yerima has said that his party has all it takes to ensure security of lives and properties of Nigerians, fight poverty and boast the country’s economy.
Yerima made the disclosure yesterday in Minna after he emerged as the party chairman in the state while he lamented over the recent continued insecurity of lives especially in Zone B where it has witnessed consistent kidnapping, cattle rustling and armed robbery.
The former council chairman of Shiroro local government under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party PDP said although the problem is a national issue and concern but that his council and Munya were most affected.
He noted that LPN has commenced the registration of membership cards to over one million people in Niger state while the remaining state Exco and zonal officials will soon be put in place for proper coordination and assured that the party will come out victorious in the 2019 elections in error state.
He reiterated that they would do everything legally possible for the acceptability of the party in the state as machinery to that effect has been put in place to achieve the vision and mission of the party.
Yerima reassured that the party will be open to all Nigerlites but cannot afford to merge with any political party but will opened its doors for other party faithful to join hence will ensure internal democracy but allowing free and fair primaries at every levels.
He stated that the party has begun its enlightenment Programs for the registration and collection of its membership cards in conjunction with the collection of the Permanent Voters Card ongoing by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in the state.
