The newly honoured grand patron, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Zone 7 Command states comprising of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kaduna and Niger states, Archbishop Leonard Bature Kawas has urged the public to assist Nigerian Police Force (NPF) in discharge of their duties for them to deliver.
The grand patron gave the charge to the public during a Security Summit Awards organised by the PCRC in the Zone at the office of the Zone’s headquarters in Wuse, FCT.
Calling for financial, moral and informative support from the public to the police, the clergyman, however, said that Nigerians live with criminals and they usually find it difficult to disclose them to the police, just as he wondered how they want the police to perform magic.
He said with financial support from numerous rich Nigerians and companies, the organisation will be well equipped and the sky would be their limit, adding that the government can’t do it alone.
Similarly, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of the Zone, Salisu A. Fagge hailed the zonal PCRC for performance, especially in the area of community policing.
