Alhaji Abubakar Sandaji, Acting President, Association of Licence Independent Petroleum Marketers, Nasarawa state chapter stated this in an interview with newsmen in LafiaYesterday.
Sandaji said the sacrifice taken by the marketers to source for the product at all costs and sell at official price is aimed at supporting the security agencies to mobilize across the state and ensure no breakdown of law and order during the President’s visit.
According to him “We want to show our solidarity and support for the president and our security outfits. That is why we are making this huge sacrifice even though at no profit so that our leader can come in peace into Nasarawa, commission projects, see the people and leave in peace without any hitch,”
Sandaji further opined the gesture was communicated at a meeting to the representatives of relevant security outfits in the state who have agreed and have already started visiting stations of the marketers.
“So even if there is no fuel in town, we have decided to make sure that their operational vehicles are filled up for logistics and other necessities that will ensure a smooth visit by the president,” he added.
