Worried by rate of indiscriminate littering of auto parts on Abuja road corridors, the Secretary, Transportation Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA),Comrade Kayode Opeifa has warned those involved to remove their vehicles from such unauthorised places on or before March 5.
Opeifa , disclosed that officials of the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) and Task Forces have been mobilised to enforce compliance.
This position was made known in a statement signed by Assistant Director, Information Transportation Secretariat, Ifeanyi Ughamadu, at the weekend.
According to him, the indiscriminate display of vehicles meant for sales in unauthorised places within the FCT especially on highway setbacks thereby obstructing seamless vehicular and human movements.
He reiterated that all those involved in the practice are expected to obtain necessary permits and approvals from the DRTS as approved Motor Vehicle Dealers as enshrined in the FCT Road Transport Regulation of 2005.
