In order to improve the health of communities, the Nasarawa State Government said it would partner with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi to render medical services to the people.
Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State stated this yesterday when the newly appointed Governing Council Board Members of FMC paid him a courtesy call at the government house Lafia, the state capital.
According to Almakura “the state government would continue to support the center in order to help in addressing referral cases from the various General Hospitals in the state to the FMC.
The Governor also appealed to the FMC board to establish outreach centers in other Local Government Areas to cater for the health needs of people outside Keffi.
He explained that there is need for more tertiary health facilities in other parts of the state to adequately address the health needs of the people.
