Date:

From Mohammed Ibrahim Kaduna

Kaduna state Pilgrims Welfare Board newly appointed head of operations, Sani has appealed to the staff particularly pilgrims officers (PO) to be honest in dealing with intending pilgrims in the state.
According to him, like any other person, intending pilgrims have rights that should be protected by the officials.
He urged the officials to be honest and be committed to their jobs.
“ Intending pilgrims have certain rights that need to be respected by the officials. So, My special appeal to my colleagues who we work with year in year out for the betterment of the pilgrims is for us to dedicate ourselves more to duty, we should come to office as and when due and be prayerful to Allah to help us achieve what we want to achieve.
“ We hope and pray Allah will make it easier for us to continue to serve the pilgrims and state to ensure that we record success in the forthcoming hajj exercise in the state,” he said
He said the new position given to him is a challenge because hajj operation is dynamic, meaning it comes with different challenges every year but said everything will be fine.
On the preparation for 2018 he explained that preparation is on top gear as intending pilgrims are still coming to make payments.
He added that the pilgrim officers are up and doing, stressing that five weeks ago the board already commenced enlightenment programmes across the centres in the state.
