The political squabble rocking the Social Democratic Party in Adamawa State is taking a new dimension as the first Governorship aspirant of the party, Mr. Emmanuel Bello has reacted to his suspension by the State Executives saying it is a nullity.
Chief Bello’s Campaign Organisation kicked against the suspension via a press release signed by media Cordinator ,Mustapha Umar, stressing that the allegations leveled against Bello for trying to hijack the party were calculated attempt to tarnish his person.
“We wish to categorically state that the allegations were fraudulent, baseless, mischievous and calculated attempt to tarnish the image of Hon.Chief Emmanuel Bello,” the release highlighted.
It could be recalled that the state executive members of the party last week pronounced the suspension slammed on chief Bello at a press conference at the party’s secretariats in Yola, accusing him of making moves to take over the control of the party.
Secretary of the party Dr. John Njiling alleged that chief Bello was illegally sponsoring registration of members of the party in the state with the intention to form parallel leadership to be loyal to him.
“We have it on strong authority that Chief Emma Bello is planning to set up a parallel structure in all the local government areas through local government chairmen,” Njiling alleged.
However, Bello’s campaign Organisation warned that activities of the political party remain sustained, adding that no amount of blackmail will deter them from progressing.
The release advised members to liaise with the interim steering committee for any action within the party in the state.
