Suspected cultists in Ibusa community near Asaba, Delta state last Thursday night allegedly killed a middle aged man identified as Nwanku Jolly over a land dispute
DSP,Andrew Aniamaka, Police spokesman in the state who confirmed the incident to our reporter said “the victim was discovered to be member of a rival cult group, we are investigating the act, and we have arrested four suspects in connection with the act, the victim was a notorious cultist before he was killed”
It was gathered that for fear of the cultists, sympathizers could not respond to the victim’s cry during which he was being attacked by his assailants inside the bush on the fateful day Since the incident, police have beefed security in the area to restore broken law and order in the community, especially at nights A resident, Emeka Joseph who spoke to our reporter said “we have been sleeping with our two eyes open, these cult groups are at again, we want the police to apprehend the people behind the act, stop cultism in Ibusa community”
Investigation revealed that cult groups thrive in Ibusa community, and during night fall allegedly harass unsuspecting residents and shoot those who refused to cooperate with them.
