From Abba-Eku Onyeka, Abuja

District Head of Idu, Abuja, Alh Isyaku Ibrahim and that of Idu Sakada, Alhaj Isyaku Sarki Musa, have drawn government’s attention to the villages under their districts, asking for democracy dividends.
The district heads did that in their Sallah messages last Friday.
Hailing the present government for good performance, especially for completion of phase one of the road in Idu village, the headquarters of the district and tackling the phase two by Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Idu district head urged those under his domain to pray for the nation.
He charged them to also promote peaceful cohabitation, which he said would go a long way to ensure development in the state. He however called on the government to as a matter of urgency and seriousness give them additional transformer to enable them enjoy electricity like others.
“We have water, but the issue of light has all the time been our problem in this village,” he stated.
The district head of Idu Sakada, on his own said that villages in his district, being new ones, need roads, electricity and other facilities that make the people enjoy dividends of democracy.
Citing examples, he said villages like Gyadina and others have no electricity, not to talk of roads, hence he called on the FCT authority to put police post in Gyadna in order to fight crime in the area, even as he urged the residents and indigenes of the area to support the government, obey law and order, as well as have the fear or God.
