Jonathan, IBB meet behind closed doors in Minna

Immediate past President, Dr. Goodlock Ebele Jonathan yesterday held a closed door meeting with former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in the Niger state capital.
Jonathan came by road rode in a black Prado jeep with five other black Prado jeeps, one of them occupied by security operatives.
The former president was said to have arrived the Hill Top Mansion of General Babangida at about 10.24am and immediately entered into what a source described as “ a private meeting” with the former military president.
A reliable source hinted that a Peoples Democratic Party PDP 2019 gubernatorial aspirant in Niger state Engineer Hanafi Muazu Sudan accompanied former President Jonathan on the visit.
it was said that the duo rode in the same car from Abuja with Jonathan sitting on the right back seat while Hanafi Sudan sat on the seat behind the driver.
It was learnt that the two were also at the meeting with General Babangida. The meeting reportedly lasted close to two hours before the former president drove out of Minna at about 12.47pm.
Details of the discussion were not known but the presence of Engineer Hanafi Sudan at the discussion fueled speculations that it would not be unconnected with the gubernatorial primaries of the PDP in the state since Hanafi Sudan who came second in the part primary in 2015 is also a governorship aspirant come 2019 in the state.
It was gathered that during the visit, former military president, Babangida sent for some leaders of the PDP in the state. Among them was the state party chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji and former governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu.
Sources revealed that these PDP chieftains were designed to meet General Babangida this weekend.
The last time former President Goodluck Jonathan was in Minna was on October 17, 2017 a few days to the PDP National Convention.
