Insecurity: Emir of Gwandu, traditional, religious leaders, others meet on peace

The Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Eliyasu Bashari has summoned his followers over the insecurity in the state.
The meeting which was championed by Alhaji Sa’adu Ubandoma Gwandu alongside with village head, religion leaders, teachers and the people of Birnin Kebbi metropolitan is aimed at bringing unity and end to the Fulani and farmers crisis including other acts that would cause disunity in the state.
He admonished them to be vigilant and caution their children over the illicit drugs and avoid any communal crisis in the state.
The meeting was held yesterday at the Atiku Bagudu Science Model and Primary School Birnin Kebbi.
The emir added that the people should be careful and not to take laws into their hands.
He explained further that the cases of Fulani and farmers is becoming to alarmists while urge people to maintain unity in the communities and avoid any causes of disunity among themselves in the state.
“We should look at what happened recently in Sokoto state over the killing of the village head and other people of the community by the Bandits, we should be careful and not allowed such incidents happened in Kebbi State,” he added.
The Ubandoma Gwandu also accused some people who are found on encroachment of people land and also those that found go to court for the judgment while the religious leaders and Traditional leader were all around, urged them to avoid such act and stand firm in bring progress to the society.
“Parents should stop being used by politicians and also their children being used as the political thugs, let us embrace one another, love each other with one mind,” he advised.
He urged people to enroll their children in both western and Arabic education which it would reduce the child labour and political thugs.
He also emphasised on the girl child education and also those that were in their husbands house, adding that the female education is very important because of the present situation in the country.
“You parents should also caution your daughters in terms of friends, they should know the type of friend they would move with and respect their husbands according to the Islamic Rite.
Those in attendance at the meeting were the religion leaders, traditional tittle holders, teachers, and the entire people of the communities.
