To further enhance the quality of education for overall development, the FCT Chapter of Association of Retired Principals of Secondary Schools (ASORPSS) has reached out to FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB) for effective collaboration.
The Association expressed desire to contribute towards promoting knowledge revolution in the Territory, in purely advisory role, given its members vast experience.
Making this position during a courtesy visit to SEB office, ASORPSS Chairperson, Mrs. Rifkatu Chidawa, noted that as a retired body of principals, they are stakeholders in the education sector as their experience still counts.
He reiterated their resolve to avail themselves to the authorities in areas of advice, training and strategies, to ensure education standard is greatly improved in the FCT.
Responding, SEB Chairman, Hon. Yahaya Musa Muhammad, noted that the Association’s formal visit is evidence that they are committed towards the progress of the Territory’s education system.
Muhammad described education as key to socio-economic development, which everyone must invest into, and contribute their quota for the greater future of children.
According to him, the retired principals’ collective wealth of experience and words of wisdom were necessary, having been school administrators at one point or the other of their careers.
He therefore assured them of the Board’s cooperation, to work together to achieve its mandates for FCT residents.
