A chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Gombe state, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Bakas, has called on member representing Gombe, Kwami and Funakaye federal constituency at the House of Representative, Hon. Khamisu Mailantarki, to focus more on programmes that have direct bearing on the people, instead of criticizing Sen. Mohammed Danjuma Goje.
He urged the lawmaker to focus on the agenda of his manifestoes during his electioneering campaign, instead of chasing shadows considering the fact that time waits for nobody.
Speaking in an interview with journalists at the weekend in Gombe, the chieftain condemned in totality the interview granted recently to media by Mailantarki saying that the defection of Goje to APC was meant to destroy the party.
He attributed the decision to handiwork of some selfish politicians who are bent on creating enmity between Goje with the APC party executives in the state.
He therefore called on the lawmaker to put in place people oriented policies that will transform lives of an average man in his constituency because electorates will appraise the current administration with structures he was able to put on ground during his tenure as member in the House of Representative.
Bakas explained that with the 1.6 million registered by the APC in the state, the party is hoping to sweep all elective positions in 2015 general elections.
