Gombe Police nab notorious armed robbers

Gombe state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of notorious armed
robbers who usually terrorize the peace of citizens in the state.

Parading the suspects at the Police headquarters in Gombe, the state
Commissioner of Police Mr. Shina Olukolu told journalists that the
arrest of the suspects came as a result of useful information made
available to the Police by concerned citizens that led to the arrest
of the suspects.
According to him, nemesis caught on the suspects when they robbed an
Okada Rider who pretending to be Police officers on duty along Pindiga
Kashere road.

He said the robbers arrested the Okada Rider pretending to be Police
officers which according to CP threaten to take his motorcycle to
police station without him accompanying them.

In his wise decision, the Okada Rider made some observations and asked
questions which he said since he was arrested he will ensure that he
follow them to the station but the robbers insisted not to go with
him, attempting to join the robbers vehicle they pushed him away and
zoom off where some good Samaritan who saw what happened quickly
informed the police that led three teams of police pursued them and
they were arrested he said.

He said even though one of the robbers escaped with the motorcycle to
Lafiya Lamurde in Adamawa state investigation is ongoing with the hope
the robber who is at large will be arrested.
