A chairmanship aspirant in Kuje area council, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Hamidu Gaube, has charged youth to shun any form of violence, in the interest of the advancement of the society.
He equally added that youth should shun politicians who might want to use them as thugs
during the 2019 general elections in the country.
Gaube gave the charge during his formal declaration to contest for the chairmanship of the council, slated for March 2019.
He noted that lack of basic amenities are the major challenge facing rural communities in the area, adding that infrastructural development would be his top priority if elected as chairman of the council.
The chairmanship aspirant noted that peace was priceless, hence the need for the youths to stay clear of violence and to contribute to the development of the country, adding that discipline and cultural diplomacy should be the watchwords of the youth.
He equally called on the electorates to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and to vote credible leaders in the 2019 general elections, noting that registration and collection of PVCs are very essential for the success of the forthcoming elections.
