Former FCT Minister gets PDP ticket in Bauchi

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Senator Bala Mohammed has won the primary election conducted by the Peoples democratic Party (PDP) Bauchi State Chapter with a total votes of 1,335 and emerged as the candidate of the party for the 2019 gubernatorial election .
Announcing the results yesterday in Bauchi, Chairman, PDP electoral Panel of the primaries , Chief Dan Orbih, said Mohammed scored 1,335 votes to emerge winner, followed by Senator Abdul Ningi who scored 802 votes and Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba who scored 15 votes.
He said they recorded 32 invalid votes during the election; and explained that the election which conducted in accordance with the party’s constitution, was free, fair, peaceful.
Mr Orbih urged PDP members to remain loyal to the party and also work hard to reclaim Bauchi State. He commended the delegates for their resilience and well behaved manner displayed during the exercise.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Senator prove abortive; but his closest aide, Adamu Barde, said they thank the almighty Allah for winning the party primaries and appealed to people of Bauchi State to vote for Senator Bala Mohammed for the development of the State.
