As part of measures to improve services by the contributory Health Insurance Scheme in government owned hospitals, Delta State Ministry of Health has commenced monitoring visits to all the zonal hospitals in the state with a view to ascertaining compliance level on the scheme.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Oseji made this known on Tuesday during the monitoring of Contributory Health Insurance Scheme of Zonal Hospital under the State Hospital Management Board at the General Hospital, Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area.
She explained that the monitoring visit will cover the eleven medical zones under the state hospitals management board and that a check list has been drawn including a Client Flow Analysis Form which would guide the monitoring team on its mandate.
The Permanent Secretary stated that the monitoring visit was not for fault finding but rather to identify gaps were they exist and proffer solutions on how to bridge the identified gaps.
