The chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido yesterday received a lot of alcalades from Southeast stakeholders in Abuja, declaring support for his re-election bid, in the forthcoming 2019 FCT Area Council’s election.
The group noted that the achievements of the Candido-led administration are quite visible and palpable in every such as; education, roads, markets development, primary healthcare, social empowerment and much more.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja, Pastor Samuel Iloh, who is the Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in AMAC, said the endorsement of Candido and his Vice Chairman, Lawrence Onuchukwu, became necessary to enable them to continue and complete the good work.
He disclosed that the stakeholders are made of top political office holders, businessmen/women, social analysts and academic think-tanks drawn from the Southern Nigeria.
According to him, after due research and extensive survey of the progress made by the APC-led administration, since 2015, stakeholders have decided to support the re-election bid of Candido as well as President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The present administration has recorded giant strides in the areas of good governance, trade and investment, security, market development, roads/bridge construction, as well as other ongoing and completed projects in different parts of the country.
“It is based on all these achievements and prospect of more projects, development and initiatives that the AMAC APC South-East Stakeholders is endorsing and supporting the re-election bid of these candidates, so as to continue and complete the good work they have started,” he added.
