. . . as students’ body calls for tighter security in schools

The United States (US), government has expressed worry on how the Nigerian soldiers are handling the continued killing of people by the Boko Haram sect in the North-east part of the country.
The U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary for Africa, Bisa Williams told BBC that U.S is very worried on how the Nigerian government is handling the fight against Boko Haram.
The envoy said the US government has since expressed dissatisfaction to President Jonathan over the way the country is taking the issue and expressed worry on how the Boko Haram become a serious threat in Nigeria, especially in the North-east part of the country.
In a related development, the National Association of Yobe State Student has expressed concern on the way boarding students are being attacked in the state, and called on the government to take majors of providing securities at all schools.
President of the students’ association, Comrade Muhammed Aji Baitu Dmaturu who made the call said the issue of security is the Federal government responsibility; therefore, the Federal Government should put more effort.
