Make religious education a priority, JIBWIS urges FG, states

The Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’a Was Iqamatus Sunnah JIBWIS has urged governments at all levels on the need to give special attention to religious education in view of its importance to societal reorientation.
The National Chairman, Council of Ulama of JIBWIS, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Jingir made the call at the 2018 National Preaching session of the group held at Emir’s Palace Misau.
Sheikh Jingir attributed to increasing number of challenges facing the country to lack of governments efforts enhancing religious education.
He said if governments give attention to the sector, it will complement the efforts of religious bodies towards propagation of their religion.
The National Chairman said JIBWIS focuses on organizing preaching session and establishment of Schools as part of efforts to propagate Islamic activities.
He emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck towards addressing the menace of corruption and other criminal activities facing the country.
On the preparation for the conduct of the next Year’s General elections, the Islamic Preacher appealed to Nigerians to vote only patriot candidate during the election, and warned politicians against supporting political thugs.
Sheikh Jingir used the medium to appeal to Nigerian Governor’s Forum to liaise with President Muhammadu Buhari in order to find lasting solution to the issue of the new National minimum wage.
In a key note address, the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmad Suleiman acknowledged the positive contribution of JIBWIS to the propagation of Islamic activities and the societal development.
Alhaji Ahmad Suleiman requested for the establishment of JIBWIS school in the local government to meet the educational needs of the community.
The Bauchi State Chairman, JIBWIS Council of Ulama, Sheikh Salihu Suleiman Ningi commended the State Governor for his support towards the success of the occasion.
