Group warns youths against violence

A pressure group, Onicha-Igboeze Progressive Union of Nigeria has urged Nigerian youths to incubate tolerance and shun act of thuggery ahead of 2019 general elections.
Chairman of Ekpoma branch in Esan West Local Government Area of the State, Mr. Osi Nwokereke, gave the charge at the maiden Onicha-Igboeze anniversary/launching of Magazine.
He tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to set the template for other African Countries to emulate by ensuring a free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria, adding that the task of nation building can only be achieved through concerted efforts by Nigerians.
Osi condemned the senseless killings in some parts of the Country by the outlawed Boko Haram insurgents along with other vicious militia operating as herders and urged authorities concern to bring perpetrators of evil to justice.
The Secretary of the group, Mr. Agwu Ogbonnaya spoke on the essence of the event.
Our correspondent reports that Onicha-Igboeze day is a day set aside to propagate the culture and unity of the Union in Esanland which is believed to be their aboriginal settlement.
