Gunmen abduct 3 polio workers in Bauchi, free 2

Three polio eradication workers have been abducted by unknown gunmen in Darazo local government area of Bauchi state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Bauchi state, DSP Haruna Mohammed has confirmed the incident, which occurred at the weekend.

According to him, of the three polio workers, two men one woman, a man and a woman were released while the police were making efforts to secure the release of the third victim who is the health officer of Darazo local government.

DSP Haruna advised people to remain calm and law abiding and assured that the police was working hard to secure his release.

He also charged citizens to be wary of strange faces within their domains.
