Niger APC suspends Women Affairs Commissioner, Amina Gua’ar

The Niger State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Paikoro local government has suspended the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Barrister Amina Musa Gua’ar for alleged anti party activities during the last elections in the country and disobedience to party leadership.
The party’s local working committee, on 18th March, 2019 in a letter of notification, invited the commissioner to answer some queries, which she declined to appear before the party hence the subsequent letter of suspension on Friday 22nd March, 2019.
The suspension letter obtained by our correspondent reads “In reference to a letter dated 18th March, 2019, the local government executive working committee of the APC in Paikoro has resolved to utilize Article 21, Section A, Subsection 111 of the Constitution as amended “disobedience or negligence in carrying out lawful directive of the party.
“This is due to your refusal/disobedient to abide by the party’s directive within the stipulated time frame. Sequel to this, I hereby notify you of your suspension from the party until further notice”. The letter was signed by the party chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Kwana and made available to newsmen in
Minna, the state capital, at the weekend
When contacted, the State Secretary, Barrister Mohammed Liman said that he was yet to be briefed or to receive the said letter but hope to get the letter if available within the week, although reliable sources closed to the party secretariat confirmed that the said letter has been received at the party (APC) secretariat on Friday.
The letter was copied to the APC stakeholders, Zonal chairman, APC State Secretary and Chairman, as well as the Political Adviser to the Governor and Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
