The Chairman/CEO of Road Transport Employers in Nigeria Mass Transit, RTEIN, an FCT licenced transport operator, Chief Dr. Abubakar Sadiq has called on President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to sustain the tempo of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the nation’s major highways across the country.
Chief Dr. Sadiq made the call in Abuja while congratulating President Buhari on his recent re-election for a second term.
“We are hopeful that he will address the areas that needed time. He was able to complete all the projects started by the former President Goodluck Jonathan. I appreciate the level of work going on in our roads. We are hopeful that the ongoing work on our roads’ infrastructure will be sustained.
“You are aware that through his efforts, the Infrastructure Bank is already there. I urge Mr. President to approve a policy that would enable transporters and vehicle owners’ access soft loans to us enable replace our dilapidated vehicles. This will go a long way in revolutionizing the road transport sector.
“I want to appreciate God for making it possible for Mr. President to come back. I am confident that he will move the country to the next level in all sectors, especially the road transport sector. It is clear that he is the only sincere person to rule this country. His integrity and zero tolerance to corruption have helped the country,” he said.
