NSSF set for 2nd National Media Shooting Workshop

The President of the Nigerian Shooting Sports Federation, NSSF, Brigadier General Lonsdale Adeoye (Rtd), has expressed readiness of the Federation to host the 2nd National Media Shooting Workshop and Competition in Air Rifle and Air Pistol for registered sports journalists in Nigeria.
Brigadier General Adeoye revealed to the Media Officer of the Federation in Abuja that significant progress has been made considering the time some sponsors and volunteers decided to join forces with the Federation to host the 2nd edition of the programme.
Emphasizing on the level of progress made, the President said “The Federation has produced medals for the highly anticipated event; our shooting range is set, we have all the weapons and pellets needed for the event readily available; we have secured accommodation for all participating journalists and other logistical needs to ensure a successful programme”, he began.
He revealed that the 2nd Edition of the Workshop and Competition will be used to select the best media shooters who will in turn form a formidable media shooting team that will henceforth compete in both national and international shooting competitions.
Brigadier General Adeoye added that the Federation will honour individuals and personnel who have distinguished themselves in one way or the other in supporting the NSSF with award of excellence during the closing ceremony.
The 2nd National Media Shooting Workshop and Competition will feature over forty sports journalists, cutting across Electronic, Print and Online media houses operating in Nigeria.
All Participating journalists are expected to arrive Abuja on Thursday, 4th April, 2019, for the shooting orientation/workshop, while the main shooting competition in Air Rifle and Air Pistol will hold on Friday, 5th April, 2019, with the closing ceremony holding on Saturday, 6th April, and depature slated for Sunday, 7th April, 2019.
The 2nd National Media Shooting Workshop and Competition for registered sports journalists in Nigeria will start from 4th and end on 7th April, 2019, at the Nigerian National Shooting Range, Package B, National Stadium Complex, Abuja.
The maiden edition of the competition held in February last year in Abuja.
