A Non-Government Organisation (NGO), Fresh and Young Brains Development Initiative, says it plans to train 30 senior secondary students in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on sustainable agriculture through promoting debate on the Right to Food Bill.
The Founder of the organisation, one Miss Nkiru Nnaemego, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, that the students would be selected from 10 different secondary schools.
She said that the Farm and Infrastructure Foundation Nigeria, an NGO, would be leading the advocacy on the Right to Food Bill on March 6.
Nnaemego said this was part of the activities to mark the International Women’s Day slated for March 8.
“The notion of food as a right derives from the fact that every human being needs food to live.
“Staying alive is a fundamental and inalienable right of everyone which no one else, government or group should be denied.” (NAN)
