Aboloma hails SON workers’ invaluable contributions

The invaluable contributions of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) workers since the establishment of the agency in 1971 has been commended by the Director General, Osita Aboloma in a May Day celebrations message.
According to him, SON workers over the years have strived to bring the organisation to an enviable height amongst its peers in Nigeria, thus deserving accolades.
He congratulated the Standards Organisation of Nigeria workforce as a part of the resilient Nigerian Workers, on the occasion of the 2019 May Day Celebrations and the centenary anniversary of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Aboloma enthused that the theme of the celebrations “Another 100 Years of Struggle for Jobs, Dignity and Social Justice in Nigeria” aligns with the vision and efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari to uplift the lot of the Nigerian workers and also leave a legacy of a buoyant economy for the country.’’
He stated that organisational growth and development is only possible in an atmosphere of industrial peace and tranquillity particularly for an institution with the mandate for Standardisation and Quality Assurance regulation.
He congratulated all Nigerian Workers on the signing into law of the N30,000 minimum wage bill by Mr. President and reassured SON Staff of the Management’s commitment to improved welfare and carrier development under his leadership. Aboloma commended the attendance of SON Workers across the States at the May Day rallies stating that the struggle continues, while victory is certain.
