Insecurity: Monarch calls for Buhari’s intervention

The Chairman of Council of Yoruba Traditional Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern states and Abuja,Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently intervene in the insecurity situation bedeviling the country.
He stated this in a statement made available to the media in kaduna yesterday.
The royal father added that the Federal Government should take over the control of any state where the lives and property of people are no longer secure.
According to him, the spate of killings on daily basis by unknown killers should not be polliticzed as nobody is now safe in the country.
“We cannot fold our arms and allow killers to go on prowl and make nonsense of our lives .
“The Government has not done enough and should wake up from its slumber and save the nation.
“The President must call the meeting of Council of States after their swearing in ceremony and read the riot act to them
‘People who have hands in the killings with the intention of blackmail the Government should be made to face the music,” he said
