NUJ congratulates new Osun CPS

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Kaduna State Council has
congratulated the new Chief Press Secretary to the Osun State Governor, Adeboyega Oyetola Ismail Omipidan,over his appointment, asking him to see it as a call to duty.
The acting Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Muhammad Sabiu disclosed this while speaking to our Correspondent in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, Governor Adeboyega Oyetola has picked one of the best brain in the pen pushing profession as a spokesperson.
The acting chairman urged Omipidan to bring his experience and competence into the office, expressing optimism that, the union has the confidence that the Chief Press Secretary will use the office to further strengthen the cordial relationship between journalists and the Osun State Government.
The congratulatory message added that, the appointment of the Chief Press Secretary confirms the importance and relevance of journalism to good governance and propagation of Government activities.
Omipidan, an active member of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), was at various times acting Secretary, Correspondents’ Chapel, NUJ, Borno State, Secretary, SWAN, Borno State, Chairman, Senate Press Corps, National Assembly, Abuja, Treasurer, NUJ, Kaduna State Council, Vice Chairman, NUJ, Kaduna State Council and acting chairman, NUJ, Kaduna State Council”.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

Ismail Omipidan who hails from Ila Orangun Town headquarters of Ila Local Government Area of Osun State is said to be a Journalist to the core and always ready to put in his best in any responsibility given to him.
