International Youth Day: Ortom’s wife advocates self-actualization for youths

Wife of Benue State Governor, Dr. Eunice Ortom has lamented that the future of youths in the nation is endangered if drastic steps are taken by government at all levels to focus on addressing self-actualization in development of youths in their communities.
Dr. Ortom who made the lamentation yesterday in Makurdi, Benue State capital at the celebration of International Youth Day, frowned at the nefarious activities of youths which tend to rub off on the society.
The Governor’s wife who doubles as Secretary of Northern Governors’ Wives forum urged the youths to shun all social vices and instead explore their strength, potentials as well as increase self-motivation to achieve their set goals against all odds.
“I urge you to demonstrate good values and character as a way of preparing yourselves for leadership responsibilities. As a state, we are concerned about your wellbeing and will everything to support the youths to actualize their ambition”, Mrs. Ortom said.
Governor Samuel Ortom who was represented by the Commissioner for Sport and Youths Development Ladi Ajene emphasized that his administration is concerned about the welfare of youths and is ready to do whatever is required to ensure that Benue youths are adequately supported to stem the tides of youths restiveness.
