Enough is enough, Masari warns bandits

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has warned bandits wreaking havoc in the state to change their bad ways or the government will decisively deal with them.
Masari issued the warning yesterday while speaking at an enlarge security meeting between traditional rulers, Fulani leaders and security agencies in the state.
“A situation where people are been killed daily is unacceptable. Therefore these criminals must repent or we as government will know how to deal with them” he added.
The governor lamented that Katsina as the home state of the president is now been negatively portrayed in the international media.
Masari tasked the Fulani leadership at all levels to counsel their children to desist from joining hands with criminals in killing people or destroying property.
He however assured that any group that is ready for peace he will personally attend to make sure sanity return to the rural communities in the state.
Also speaking the emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman has preached against the shedding of blood of innocent persons.
He tasked communities in his domain to live in peace with one another, describing the present spate of killings in the state as counterproductive.
In a remark, the Secretary to the Government of the state, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa spoke on the huge investment made by the government in sustaining peace and protection of people’s lives and property.
