Insecurity: Police hold emergency prayer in Edo

Police in Benin on Thursday held an emergency prayer to kindle the zeal of Officers and men of the Command in crime fighting across Edo State.
The State Commissioner of Police Mr Danmallam Mohammed, led Senior Officers during the prayer session at the Command’s headquarters in Benin City.
The spiritual exercise was part of measure to direct the side-rocking security challenges in the nation.
Briefing newsmen after the prayer session, Mr Danmallam Mohammed, said God has being the cornerstone of his achievements.
The police boss who was honoured by the group with a plaque, stated that the security challenges bedevilling the nation require the support of Nigerians.
Evangelist Clement Okhuelegbe who led members of the victorious Movement missionary organization to police headquarters, commended the tactical approach of the police in riding the State of crimes.
Meanwhile, Edo State Chapter of the association of retired police Officers led by Assistant Commissioner of police (Rted) Mr Benjamin Odigie, also paid the Commissioner a courtesy call on the police Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner of police Mr Ayoola Ajala (Operation) and Deputy Commissioner of police, Mr Val Kanayo Uziegbu (Administration) as well as Mr David Osuani, Assistant Commissioner of police (Administration) were present at the event.
