From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman has called on a non-governmental organization “Brothers Across Boarders” (BAB) to work towards uniting Muslims and Christian brothers to end unnecessary bloodshed and violence across the country.
The Katsina Emir made the call over the weekend in Katsina when he received the leadership of brothers Across Boarders in his Palace.
According to the emir, it became imperative to the group to extent hands of friendship to both Muslims and Christians for unity and understanding of peaceful co-existence in the country.
He said all hands must be on desk to prevent banditry, herders/farmers clashes and other heinous crimes that are ravaging the north.
He noted that, the security situation has drastically worsened and the level of poverty equally increased in the region, adding that only unity and prayers will end insecurity in this country.
Usman said, his palace will assist the group to achieve its aims in bringing peace across the country.
In his address, the President of Brothers Across Borders (BAB) Dr Salisu Ahmed Ingawa said the primary objective of establishing the body was the realization of the escalation of insecurity and rapid decline in development in the north.
He said, the group is working towards decisive measures to restore a peaceful and secured environment for all citizens in the country.
