Kaduna residents express optimism over Nigeria’s future

Kaduna residents have expressed optimism about the future of the country in spite of the current surmountable challenges.
Investigation by Peoples Daily yesterday showed that many of the residents are of the opinion that the 59th anniversary of the country’s existence as a sovereign nation is worthy of celebrating.
Acccording to Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu of WAFF Road Mosque in kaduna North Local Government Area, bringing Nigeria together as a nation is the doing of Allah and nobody can separate it.
While appreciating government at all levels for making efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the masses, the Islamic cleric called on the citizenry to continue to support the government with patience, perseverance and prayer as he assured them of his belief that there shall be light at the end of the tunnel.
Similarly Pastor Yakubu Yusuf of House of Purpose Ministry U/Sunday in Chikun Local Government Area who led menbers in six hours marathon prayers disclosed that God knows what is happening to every Nigerians and have the fine solutions to it.
He however called on the people especially the people of faith to move closer to their God in other to have encounter with him.
More than ever before, he said there is need to come together and work in unity in order to contribute to the sustainability of people, the advancement of Nation state and the unity of Nigeria,”
He concluded by praying to God to continue His divine mercy on the country and her people while wishing all Nigerians a peaceful, rewarding and fruitful national day celebration.
In the same vein the Chairman Yoruba Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern States and Abuja Ambassador Muhammadu Arigbabuwo in spite of the current economic challenges which is beginning to witness a positive turn around, Nigeria and Nigerians have every reason to celebrate the unity, survival and security progress made so far.
He urged wealthy Nigerians, especially to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as demonstrated by the founding fathers of the country by working to improve the sustainable livelihood of the masses.
He noted that;” poverty knows no colour, race, religion and political party. Hence, the wealthy should continue to impact on the lives of the people by providing opportunities of sustainable livelihood for people and communities without any religious or political affiliations.
