Blueprint for Delta Judiciary infrastructural devt on course – Chief Judge

The Delta state Chief Judge, Justice Marshall Umukoro has said that the implementation of the blueprint for the infrastructural development of the state Judiciary was on course.
Justice Umukoro who spoke to Journalists in Asaba on Tuesday, said that the state Judiciary will continue to witness Infrastructural development as the state government has embarked on new projects, reactivation, revalidation and completion of new and abandoned projects, and listed the projects to include ongoing construction of new magistrate’s court building at Ogwashi Uku to replace the one razed down by fire in March 2017 and a construction of a second Magistrate’s court building at Agbor, adding that contract had since been awarded for the re-roofing and renovation of the High Court 2 in Effurun
He said;” ongoing projects under construction are the renovation of Judges’ and Boys’ quarters in Asaba,Koko , Ughelli and Sapele while the Udu High Court and other ones have been captured in the 2019 budget” and thanked the state Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his keen interest and determination in repositioning the Judiciary for Optimal performances in achieving its core constructional mandate for speedy dispensation of Justice by providing conducive working environment.
Justice Umukoro further disclosed that the state of the art facilities and furniture have been provided for some of the High Courts, adding that this would be replicated in all the courts across the state of the Judiciary and the host communities of the Projects to protect the facilities from vandals.
