Suspected armed Fulani herdsmen yesterday attacked one Mrs Grace Zeku, on her farm and amputated her hand in Gboogyo village, Guma local government area of Benue State.
Guma, home country of the incumbent Governor Samuel Ortom shares border with Nassarawa State.
The victim who is receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Apir narrated that she had gone to her farm to work when the herdsmen came and attacked her.
She said they asked her to place her hand on a log of wood and cut it off, adding that the herdsmen ordered her to leave while they fled immediately.
Mrs. Zeku also, sustained machete cuts on the head.
When contacted, Benue State Police Command Public Relations’ Officer DSP Catherine Anene said she has not be briefed about the incident.
