The Abuja Newspapers Distributors Association has been thrown into mourning due to the death of two of their members, Barr. Kayode Adeleke of Sir Kay Agency, and Mr. Okoi Ibiang Barnabas Iwara of SLO Agency and has declared one month of mourning.
A statement signed by the Association’s President, Comrade Benji Obute on Tuesday said that the Association was in deep shock at the loss of the two committed members who died within the space of two weeks.
Comrade Obute who said he was sad and traumatized over the two incidents added that, “This is a sad moment for me and my Association to lose two members in quick succession. It’s a shock that we will take time to recover from. We are saddened and highly bereaved”.
He promised to enroll the Association into the insurance that would take care of the bereaved children in the event of the death of members. The deceased have since been buried.
