CIIN boss admonishes CIFM graduates to be ethical

New diploma graduates of the College of Insurance and Finance Management have been advised to be hardworking and ethical.
The President, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Mr Eddie Efekoha, gave the charge during the fifth graduation ceremony of the College at Asese, Ogun State.
According to Efekoha, “Remember this day and the sense of pride and accomplishment that you take from it; use that to move toward your next big goal. Do not just get involved, work hard for your seat at the table and you will be offered many more seats.
“Most importantly, I urge you also to be ethical in your professional conduct and always be willing to make a positive difference in any vocation you find yourself in. You are a step closer to your dream and soon, you will be reaping the rewards of your labour.”
While congratulating the successful graduates, he said the world awaited more from them.
“It is time to put your knowledge and skills to the true test. You will no more have grades, but you will have challenges. I am confident you will meet those challenges and be successful in all that you do.”
Efekoha said the programme was not just a celebration of academic excellence, but a realisation of the vision of the founding fathers of the CIIN.
He said the institute catered for the membership and professional needs of the insurance industry by providing a platform for continuous development.
The president also commended the efforts of the College’s governing board for playing an invaluable role in bringing the vision to life and for continually upscaling the quality of insurance education being offered by the CIFM.
