Dekina, Idah Local Governments Reach Fosla U-13 Scholarship Final

Dekina and Idah local government areas will battle it out for the final of 2020 Fosla U-13 Scholarship Tournament, Bestchicesports.com.ng can report
Both teams reached the final after beaten their opponents in the semi-finals played on Monday. While Dekina needed penalty shootout to win Ankpa 4-3, Idah defeated their opponents Ofu LGA 1-0 to reach the final for three consecutive time.
A total of 10 local government areas participated in the tournament held at the Kogi State University Stadium, Anyigba.
In the preliminary matches played on knockout bases, Ankpa defeated Olamoboro 4 -3, Ibaji was 5 – 4 better than Igalamela while Lokoja lost 5 -6 to Ofu.
In the other results, Omala LGA lost 1-2 to Ankpa, Dekina recorded a 2-0 win over Bassa while Idah were triumphant against Ibaji with 2-0.
Speaking after the tournament, the proprietor of Fosla Academy and former governorship aspirant of the state, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdulahi appreciated the coaches, players and LGA staff for their efforts to get the children ready for the competition.
He expressed his resolve to continue tp harness the talented players and offer them scholarship in order to better their lives and careers.
FOSLA U-13 Scholarship Tournament is a yearly competition organised by Nigeria’s foremost premier independent football academy, FOSLA ACAdemy where the successful pupils are given full scholarship to study and also learn how to play football
