NATFORCE urges peace at Xmas, redeploys directors

The Director General National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms,Ammunitions,Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism,(NATFORCE) Chief Osita Okereke has urged Nigerians to use the Christmas season to practice virtues such as love and Godliness adding that Christmas should not start and end with celebration and party.
Chief Okereke while speaking with some selected journalists in Abuja yesterday, also used the occasion to give out his Christmas message saying that, “ I am using this medium to wish Nigerians a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
He also advised Nigerians to be very conscious of how they celebrate the yuletide adding that some criminally minded individuals might use the period to perpetrate crimes in some communities.
Speaking further, the NATFORCE DG disclosed that his organization has redeployed some state directors in order to achieve maximum objective in its bids to completely combat all forms of illegal importation of small arms and ammunition into the country.
According to Natforce boss “States affected by the recent transfer of directors include: Abia state,where Mr Silas Ihemeremadu has now been transfered to Edo State, the Akwa Ibom director has now being transfered to Plateau State, Adamawa Director, Mr Philip C Jecob is now to being moved to Akwa Ibom State while Bayelsa director,Mr Osain Solomon is now in charge of Ogun State.
Chief Okereke also used the opportunity to call on all security agencies in various states to work hand in hand with Natforce to ensuring that crime and criminalities are made history in Nigeria.
He also advised Natforce directors across the states to be up and doing adding that though the yuletide period may have some peculiar challenges, there should be no room for compromised.
He urged state governors and security organizations to cooperate with Natforce in order to actualize its dreams and aspiration for the country.
